The Universal Ceiling Fan Remote Control Kit is designed to work with most 110V 3-speed AC ceiling fans, including popular brands like Harbor Breeze, Allen Roth, Kichler, Hunter, Hampton Bay, Honeywell, Home Decorators Collection, Litex and others. This remote control kit brings great convenience to our lives by adding remote control compatibility to any fan.
The RC-53T1 remote control features HI/MED/LO 3-speed and OFF for fan speed control, as well as a light ON/OFF button. The green luminous button is made of fluorescent material, allowing you to easily locate the remote in the dark. However, please note that this remote does not have a Reverse button.
The production settings of the RC-53T1 and RC-37R receivers have been pre-configured and can be used directly. If the remote fails to work, you can use the Learn Key button to re-match the remote and receiver. To do this, first disconnect the receiver's power cord and connect it again to restart the receiver. Then, press and hold the "Study Button" (a small hole in the battery case) on the remote for 3-5 seconds within 30 seconds. If the receiver makes a beeping sound or the indicator light flashes, the match is successful.
It's important to note that if you have a pull chain switch, you should use the pull chain to set the wind speed to maximum and turn the fan light on before using the wireless remote control. This ensures that the pull chain switch and wireless remote can be used together.
Additionally, if you have multiple ceiling fans in your home, make sure the program settings are different between them. Otherwise, the transmitter next door may accidentally activate the ceiling fan in your bedroom, causing it to turn on unexpectedly while you sleep.
The installation process is straightforward. First, remove the power from the circuit and the ceiling fan canopy from the mounting bracket. Disconnect the existing wiring between the ceiling fan and the electrical junction box. Then, set the same codes on the remote control and receiver, as the transmitter and receiver must have the exact same code for the remote to work. There are 16 different frequencies that can be set, with the default being 0000, which is not recommended.
Next, install the receiver in the ceiling fan, making sure to connect the wires correctly according to the color codes. Finally, install a 9V battery (not included) in the remote, and you're ready to control your ceiling fan.
The package includes a remote control, receiver, wall mount, wiring caps, screws, and a user manual. The product specifications are as follows: input voltage of 110-120V, AC frequency of 50/60Hz, and a required 9V battery. The transmission mode is radio frequency (RF) at 303.9MHz, with a remote control range of up to 60 feet.
